Description

This was a commission from a good friend of mine Brian. He wanted a green dragon crawling down a pile of rocks at night.

*Edit* I fixed my scanner, and look! A beautiful scan. :) Now you can see how dark it ended up being, and how the moon actually had color in it. :)

I tried to pull off the "Dark" but I don't think it worked very well. I really pushed it and tried really hard on this one to make it seem like it was in the dark. I think I failed miserably, but I'm proud of this at the same time. :)

This is absolutly beautiful, and I bet it looks waaaaay better IRL, as most things do.

You know you might want to try scanning it in as a magazine. It'll be a setting somewhere in your scanner menu when you go to scan the picture. It takes alot longer to scan but it is very much worth it, give it a try.

I'm going to give a cupple of crits because I know you can take them in a mature manor.
First, because the face draws my attiontion most, I notice the eyes and muzzle. The eyes are kinda lopsided, the right eye (and all my rights and lefts will be ours, not his.) is higher than the left. The angle you have the eyes at is perfect, I love it. Now the think about the muzzle is it looks not like and extension of the mouth, nose, jaw, all that, but just an extension of the nose. What helps me in situations like this is to think of the face as a skull, break it down. Even at this angle the muzzle should be wider on his face and a little less at the end. Like I said, the muzzle is an extension of the face, not just the nose. Look at alot of picture, especially anatomy drawings of skeletons (professional ones.) Those always help me.

My other thing is on the tail. The base should be wider, but I dunno if that is always true, it's just how I few it. You have alot of mussle tissue connecting with the tail from the back and therefore the base should be wider, but I dunno, like I said that could just be a personal opionion.

This is so beautiful, I love the background, the little pond, the trees, everything. I'm looking for a few commissions of me and my tiger, I've already picked Michifennec for one of them, I wonder if you would be a good choice for another. Can you e-mail me? Joy at gmail dot com.

Try the magizine scan, it helps.
And I hope you didn't mind the crits ^.^
